A good portion of my life has been spent playing the piano for everyone else's diva moments. Now it's my turn. I invite you to accompany ME through my life's diva and, well, not so diva-like moments. It'll be entertaining. Promise.

The Day Has Arrived

See this?

That's right. Eight hundred and two pages of pure pleasure.

I take after my mom and my grandma. We all adore a good book. My schweetie, knowing this fact about me, suprised me on Mother's Day morning with this gem. I love Gerald Lund's writing. I've read all of his Work and the Glory series and Fire of the Covenant several times each. He has the ability to transport me to the scene of the story so I feel like I'm actually there watching it all happen in person. This book is about a Mormon pioneer company who settled a portion of southern Utah in the late 1800's.

I have saved it for today....it has sat tempting me in my nightstand for the last several weeks. Another cycle of work (accompanying/teaching) has ended for me as of last Saturday, so here's the plan...

See this little guy? Notice the plate's about empty?

He'll soon be going down for his nap, and I will spend a blessed hour and a half (two if I'm lucky) on this couch snuggled up with a book that I know will be awesome.

Heaven. :)
